Straight Reads The Line Calls It A Day

Straight Reads the Line, the five-piece metal-core band from Stoney Creek Onatio, will be embarking on one last tour before calling it quits.

The band posted a blog on their Myspace in January announcing the break-up. SRTL thanks everyone that has contributed to their experience throughout the past five years, most notably their former guitarist and friend Josh MacKenzie who passed away in 2006.

Formed in late 2004, the band has accomplished some great things in their five years together, including signing with Distort Inc. (Cancer Bats, Dead and Divine) and touring with the likes of Arise and Ruin and The Holly Springs Disaster.

Now, after all they’ve accomplished as a band, Straight Reads the Line are ready to pursue their individual goals, but not without heading on one last headlining tour.

“This tour will be for us, the people who have worked so hard around our career, our family and friends, and most importantly the fans who have treated us so well over the years,” SRTL said in their blog.

There final dates include:
11 Feb 2010 – Level 3 – St. Catharines, ON
12 Feb 2010 – Blind Dog – Windsor, ON
