Cancer Bats To Release New Album- Bears, Mayors, Scraps, and Bones

The Cancer Bats will be releasing Bears, Mayors, Scraps and Bones, their heaviest, deadliest, and most brutal album ever on April 13th 2010 through Distort Inc. in Canada.

Once again utilizing the facilities of Vespa Studios and working alongside producers Eric Ratz (Billy Talent) and Kenny Luong (Billy Talent), Bears, Mayors, Scraps and Bones showcases a sharpening of the band’s musical blades — a tighter rhythm section, a gnarlier teeth-grinding guitar tone, and a vocal performance that truly encapsulates the passion that lead vocalist Liam Cormier brings to the stage.

“This is definitely the best representation of our live sound,” Cormier said. He also noted that the record benefits from plenty of pre-production, and subsequent care, and attention to even the most minute of details.

“We made sure that all of the parts were properly fused together, and that every small section was the way it should be,” he said.

The Bats haven’t lost their ability to empower and encourage listeners through their lyrical content. Indeed, this is the Cancer Bats at their best.

Since their previous album Hail Destroyer hit stores, the Juno-nominated Cancer Bats have charred the pages of Kerrang!, Alternative Press, NME, Exclaim!, and countless other top-tier publications.

They’ve played the stages of SXSW, Taste Of Chaos, Download Festival, Edgefest, Leeds, and Reading festival. All alongside heavyweights like Rise Against, Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, Bring Me The Horizon, and Bullet For My Valentine.

Still, the band’s ultimate goal is just to share their music with people that are passionate about it.

“I’d just love for everyone to be able to hear this thing,” front man Cormier said. It’s definitely the Cancer Bats, so if you weren’t a fan before, Cormier doesn’t see this one pulling you to the dark side.

“If you hate our band, you’ll hate this record.” Luckily for ravenous Bats fans, the inverse is true, meaning many will be frothing at the mouth in anticipation.

A limited edition version of Bears, Mayors, Scraps and Bones will also be released on April 13th 2010 and will include a collectors DVD that features the Making of BMSB, plus live footage and a gear walk-through.

Watch out for the new video for their first single ‘Sabotage.’
