Canada + Haiti = Wavin’ Flag

It’s like the Olympics, we did better than the U.S. at winning gold in Hockey and by doing better justice to a song as a benefit for Haiti. Young Artists for Haiti is Canada’s response to bringing together various Canadian musicians (57 in total) — everyone came out: Drake, Metric, Sam Roberts, Hawksley Workman, Nelly Furtado, Lights, Kardinall Offishall, et al. and little Biebs bookends it — to support relief efforts in Haiti by re-doing K’naan’s “Wavin’ Flag.” All the funds, which can be collected through iTunes, go to a triumvirate of Free The Children, War Child and WorldVision. Seriously, way better than that “We Are The World” business.
